Back in Business

I have officially arrived back to California.  Please accept my apologies for being a bad blogger.  While in Nayarit I tried several times to post with pictures and was unsuccessful.  I think the connection was not up to par.  Anywho, since I was unable to post with pictures I got frustrated and gave up.  It made me think that I won't be able to keep this up once I move to Mexico.  But then I thought well I guess I can still post without pictures at least until I find a "ciber" that can handle my needs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

My flight to San Francisco was via Alaska Airlines.  I arrived at the Puerto Vallarta airporat at 4pm and my flight was scheduled for departure at 5:07pm.  I know I know I cut it short but what can I say, I was very relaxed at my sister-in-law's house (about 10 min. from the airport).  She made Albondigas soup and it was might tasty.  Of course my husband doesn't like the meatball soup and asked I prepare him a "botana" instead.  So I cut up some jicama and watermelon, added tojino (powdered chile), salt and lemon and wala he was a happy camper.

Since I was late arriving to the airport, there was a very long line and I had to rush to make it to the boarding gate.  My goodbye to my husband was quick and there was no time to cry.  After paying $42 USD for two empty suitcases.  I made my way to the back of the plane to seat 30C only to find a stewardess asking my fellow neighbors if anybody was traveleing alone.  I spoke up and said "I am."  She asked if it was ok if I switched with a child who was separated from his parent.  "Of course" I replied.  So there I go back to the front of the placn to seat 13A.  It was a long time before I was able to take my seat.  My new neighbors spoke a language I did not recognize.  After take off, the stewardess announced beverages and snacks would be coming around.  Normally, I would opt not to purchase any food but since I have recently lost weight due to stress, I decided I would.  $6 smart heart picnic pack or $6 Northern Deli pcinic pack or Angus burger with potato chips.  I thought I'll go with one of the picnic packs, don't want to to offend my neighbors with Angus breath.  The stewardess came around and asked the two ladies next to me if they would like to purchase anything while handing me a smart heart picnic pack along with a wink.

I smiled and said thank you.  She brightened my gloomy trip back.  It was her way of saying thank you for making her job easier.

Tomorrow it is back to work, back to 70+ emails of doom and a stack of papers.  I know I'll miss it all once I move to Nayarit but not as much as I'll have missed my husband.

This is the long haul, in 4 mo. I will be planning another trip to Nayarit only this time it will be a one-way trip.
